Join us Saturday, June 2, 2012 for the 7th Wheels to Meals, the annual fundraiser for the Food Connection. Choose from six rides through the scenic Puyallup Valley and surrounding area.
This year's presenting sponsor—RACING TO STOP HUNGER—will be matching all monies raised by first time Wheels to Meals riders dollar for dollar up to $10,000. If you have friends or family who've thought of riding in the past this is the year to have them join you as we "fight hunger from the seats of our bikes."
You'll enjoy great support, including mechanical support from Old Town Bicycle, SAG wagons and motorcycles, great food along the course, and a finish-line festival with live music and a beer/wine/root-beer-float garden and plenty to eat. All that, and you'll be helping provide food for thousands of Pierce County households.
There's a ride for everyone, and all of them support the work of the Food Connection! Choose from 10, 20, 32, 46, 56 or 75 miles.
All proceeds benefit St. Leo Food Connection, fighting hunger in Pierce County since 1982. The Food Connection serves all Pierce County residents. We operate one of the state's largest food banks, a mobile food bank, a backpack program that provides food over the weekend for children at risk of hunger, numerous summer meals sites for children, and help staff the Pierce County Gleaning Project.
