Wheels
to Meals
Serve dinner (and breakfast and lunch) from the seat of
your bike! ??
The 3rd annual Wheels to Meals bike ride on June
7, 2008 is the annual fundraiser for The Food Connection,
which has been fighting hunger in Pierce County since 1982.
Choose one of four rides through the scenic Puyallup Valley
and surrounding area. You'll enjoy great support, including
mechanical support from Old Town Bicycle, SAG wagons, great
food along the course, and a finish line festival with live
music and a beer/wine/root beer float garden and BBQ. All
that, and you'll be helping provide food for thousands of
Pierce County households.

After
you cross the finish line, join the party!

Alicia Healey
Alicia Healey is real live Iowa farm girl. Back on
the homestead, her powerful, classically-trained voice
won her acclaim in musical theatre, but her "inner
songwriter" was hankering to get out. She polished
up her folk guitar, came west, and started writing songs
that added a contemporary folk flavor to her driving
pop and country.

Kym Tuvim
"With a knowing perspective reminiscent of Carly
Simon, Joni Mitchell and Aimee Mann, her songs practically
seethe with sensuality..." -Performing Songwriter

The more the merrier – consider forming
a team with family, friends and co-workers.
Team members can ride different routes and
meet up at the finish line festival – where we’ll
take your picture to commemorate the day you “fought
hunger from the seat of your bike!”
